Huge success. The new code has been implemented. If you find any bugs, report them here and how it happened. What changed: >AnonymousID is RIP. It was removed entirely and now we have just 1 user account to both post and make boards. The old system was confusing and unnecessary. All previous anon IDs have become regular user accounts, maintaining their username, password, post count and active days. If you had an anonID with the same name as your user account, your user account has gained all the postcount and active days from it (but the password remains that of your user account). Finally, if your anon ID's name was taken by someone else's user name, then you lost access to that. If that happened to you, and you had an anonymous ID with a high post count and active days you'd like to maintain, let me know and I can check the old database and fix it manually for you, since there won't be many cases where that happened if happened at all. >IP posting has been enabled again. Please be kind to outlanders. >The old frontpage's search system was moved to its own URL. This is because I intend to add popup ads only to the search page. I feel that that will be a good enough compromise, where everywhere else you can browse without interruptions, but the search system which people use with less frequency can help generate a lot of revenue to pay for server costs. >Some features have been temporarily removed but will come back later: post donation, filtering the search page, skrt, the catalog.
Had a lot of IRL responsibilities these past few weeks, but coded whenever I had free time. When posting fails, you no longer lose the contents of your post. Instead, you are presented with the post form again, so you may fix it and resubmit without having to hit the back button. I am certainly behind where I wanted to be, as I'm still merely doing post validation, and after that comes inserting a post in the database which is hard work too. But every day we get closer to our much needed reboot and reopening to outlanders.
Dealing with some personal chores, but should be implementing the new code sometime this week or weekend once I am done with that. I will make a new global thread before rebooting us.
Back to work. Can't wait to get this finished. New postform will be more practical. The drop down list Looks ugly, and I'll rely on someone with CSS artistic skills to help me with the layout later on.
in the USA there gonna do everything they can to deflect attention away from 'guns', they will blame 8chan or anybody else for mass shootings ...anybody or anyone . so long as the gun-laws dont come into question
I'll be uploading the new code soon. Right now, I expect to do it within 1 or 2 weeks, it depends on how complicated the last bits of code I have to rewrite are. Then, we'll be able to revitalize this site with new features, a much faster development pace, opening it to outlanders again, advertising it to new users and so on. Took me a long time, I was also very busy with my life for these past 3 years, but we are getting there.
>>25532 Nice try FBI
New Global Thread [check previous one if you missed https://enrive.org/global/thread/24889] Thread theme: digital dankies
So this new DeepNude engine they've got going... ...is not very accurate, is it? https://deepnudeonline.com/load I tried it a bunch of times, and it only came out with the breasts at the right place maybe 20% of the time.
New Global Thread Old one for those that missed it: https://enrive.org/global/thread/24889 Still working diligently, no ETA yet on new code.
>>25290 >How about an admin abusing the rule #1 button? If it is on an official board I'd replace any moderators that are awful, including the owner if needed. But if not an official board, people are free to do what they want, and if they want to mess with rule #1 its their choice. If their board is bad people will use other ones.
We have been at a hiatus for a long, long time, but I have actually been hard at work coding almost daily for all these years. In fact, it scared me how much time I put in something that to me is only a hobby. Just a few months ago I was reading 1000+ pages of programming books in a week, and I have refactored the site's code some 5 times in this past year. Every time I learned something new, and every time I made the code better to work with, with more longevity and professionalism. On top of that, I developed many of my own tools to assist in the creation of sites, because I didn't like what was out there. I have finally arrived at a point where I am happy with the code and ready to develop Enrive again. It should still take me some 2 to 3 months (perhaps much less) to translate the current code to this final iteration, and after that I will take us down for probably a day or two, upload the new code and from then on focus only on making new features, in the hopes that we grow and save the internet from all the moderators out there. One major change that will come with this first update, is that there will no longer be a distinction between user account and anonymous ID - everything will be the same system. You'll be able to create and manage boards as well as post with just 1 user account (or, in the case of posting, still with just your IP).
>>25128 Nope. I appears that AO3 fanfics simply describing sexual abuse of minors in text, are indeed censored on Enrive. Reports have been reviewed after this now by now, and yet the link hasn't been restored.
